After completing service 6 years in the Army, including 1 year of combat service in Operation Iraqi Freedom, he was Honorably discharged from the Army and moved back home to Olympia Wa. In 2006 he and his father, Stan Waunch, and started Waunch Construction and Trucking (WC&T) as a small earthwork company doing residential/single family home earthwork and grading in 2006.
