Established in 2006, Waunch Construction and Trucking (WC&T) has transitioned from a modest startup in Olympia, WA, to a leading provider of septic services and excavation in Skull Valley, AZ. Initially launched as an S corp with just four employees and minimal equipment, our company has grown significantly, boasting over 30 skilled professionals and a fleet of specialized machinery. In 2022, we shifted our operations entirely to Arizona, focusing on comprehensive septic system installations, inspections, and full-scale site work solutions. Our expertise also extends to managing a complete crushing spread and operating a gravel pit. NATHAN WAUNCH
President, Estimator, Project Manager
After graduating high school in 1999 Nathan enlisted in the army as an Airborne Infantryman. After completing service 6 years in the Army, including 1 year of combat service in Operation Iraqi Freedom, he was Honorably discharged from the Army and moved back home to Olympia Wa. In 2006 he and his father, Stan Waunch, and started Waunch Construction and Trucking (WC&T) as a small earthwork company doing residential/single family home earthwork and grading in 2006. In 2007 WC&T started doing commercial and public works projects with Nathans responsibilities changing from an equipment operator to Estimator and project manager. Steady growth over the next 14 years took the company from doing small housing cut outs to $5M road projects and 1M gallon prestressed concrete reservoirs. Before moving to Skull Valley AZ in 2002 WC&T was working exclusively in the Public Works market doing projects for local municipalities, Washington state and the US Army Corp of Engineers on Joint Base Lewis McChord, Bremerton Naval Ship Yard and Camp Murry. In 2021 Stan retired and Nathan took over the role of President for WC&T along with managing the families gravel pit (Deschutes Aggregate and Recycling) daily operation.
MATT WAUNCH
Vice President, Treasure, Site Superintendent
Matt Waunch graduated high school in 2001 and enlisted in the Army as a Combat Engineer. After 3 years in service, including 1 year of combat supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom, Matt continued his education at the University of Washington receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry. After graduating college he was made an owner with his dad and brother at WC&T. Over the years Matt took on the role as Lead Site Superintendent, taking on our most challenging jobs including Sewer Lift Stations, Demo and storm piping in the Bremerton Ship Yard and Utility projects for the Corp of Engineers. After Stans retirement Matt took over managing the crushing operations at the gravel pit along with equipment procurement and maintenance oversite.
